Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh predicting heavy rainfall on Thursday (October 10).
The IMD said a cyclonic circulation lies over East Assam and its neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels.

It predicted heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya, and very heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.
The IMD said scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is very likely over Northeast India in the next five days and isolated to scattered light rainfall over the region in the next two days.
It also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh on Friday (October 11).
