As many as six persons were injured when lightning struck on Monday night and early Tuesday morning around 7.15 am at East Maligaon Bismuri areas and Bhotgaon Bodiaguri in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
All the injured persons were admitted to Rupnath Brahma civil hospital in Kokrajhar for treatment.
The injured persons have been identified as Kanak Borgoary, aged around 30 years and hailing from village of Dekadrambra Bismuri; Budrai Soren, aged around 55 years from East Maligaon village; Akilima Babi, aged around 50 years and a resident of Bhotgaon Bodiaguri; Randhan Mardi, aged around 40 years; Heme Soren, aged around 35 years and Rabi Soren, aged around 12 years, all residents of Bismuri area .
