Assam boxer Jamuna Boro who brought laurels to the state by bagging a gold medal at the second India Open Boxing Tournament was felicitated by BJP MLA of Dhekiajuli Ashok Singhal at Vidhayak Seva Kendra in Dhekiajuli on Monday.
Singhal said that the boxer made the town along with her home State proud with her remarkable achievement at the international boxing tournament held in Guwahati.

The BJP MLA also gifted one bigha of land to Jamuna for her recent boxing feat.
Singhal on his official Twitter handle stated:

Jamuna toppled fellow boxer Y Sandhyarani in the finals of 54 kg category and bagged gold with a unanimous 5-0 win.
She had been making the state proud with her brilliant performances in various national and international boxing tournaments.
