The main door of Kamakhya Temple was opened for devotees after the end of Ambubachi Mela on Wednesday.
After the conduction of all the rituals, the temple door was opened to the general public at 6 am on Wednesday.
The four-day festival at the Kamakhya temple began on Saturday with the temple doors closing at 9 pm and reopening after four days on Wednesday.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the temple to seek the divine blessings of the Mother Goddess.
Sonowal stated on his official Twitter handle:

Lakhs of devotees from around the country thronged the Kamakhya Temple during Ambubachi Mela to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
During Ambubachi Mela, the temple remains closed to mark the belief that the annual menstrual cycle of Goddess Kamakhya falls during the period. The goddess is associated with the fertility cult.
This year, a large number of special initiatives had been set up by the State Government to make the State’s biggest spiritual and religious festival a grand success.
For the convenience of the pilgrims, six temporary shelters, 19 food counters and 14 drinking water counters had been set up by the State Government.
A large number of vehicles had also been arranged for the comfort of all the pilgrims.
Last year, over 19 lakh devotees attended the Ambubachi Mela.
