The relentless efforts of Indian Army to engage youth of Udalguri district of Assam was exhibited during the successful conduct of two months long ‘Mobile Repair Skill Development Programme’ which commenced from November 11, 2018. 0
Thirty youths of different ethnicity and economically backward groups were selected for participation in the programme by the Golandi Battalion of Red Horns Division of Army stationed in Golandi in Udalguri district.

Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district, Dilip Kumar Das graced the valedictory function on Saturday and appreciated the efforts of Indian Army for its initiative to the noble cause under Operation Sadbhavana 2018.
The skill development programme has undoubtedly generated an avenue of employment for all of them and would help them to fight the scourge of poverty said one of the 30 participants in his effusive praise towards the scheme.
