Guwahati: With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 fever set to grip the enthusiasts for the next two months, Guwahati is all set to become the venue for the Rajasthan Royals team and host two matches in the month of May.

In 2023 also Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium successfully hosted two IPL matches of Rajasthan Royals, one with Punjab Kings and the other with Delhi Capitals.

This year too the matches in Guwahati are scheduled for the third and fourth week of May, with Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals set to face the Rajasthan Royals.

According to reports, Ranjit Barthakur, Executive Chairman of Royal Multisport, which owns Rajasthan Royals, has confirmed this development.

The IPL kicks off in Chennai on Friday (March 22) with the first match slated to be between Chennai Super Kings and Bangalore Royal Challengers.
