Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi on Saturday released the Assamese version of Charaiveti Charaiveti, the autobiography of Ram Naik.
The programme was held at the Srimanta Sankardeva International Convention Centre of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

While releasing the Assamese version of the autobiography, the Governor said, “Ram Naik is a versatile and an admirable person which is clearly reflected through his autobiography Charaiveti Charaiveti.”
Speaking at the function, the Governor hailed the efforts of Ram Naik and said that the book binded all the people from every quarters of life.

People can acquire his noble, political and philosophical ideologies by reading his book which according to him will help all the generation to enhance their societal and political awareness as well.
Prof Mukhi also said that the sole reason of the translation of this book is to make the people and youth leaders aware of how to maintain and carry forward good and progressive governance.
The Governor along with the other dignitaries also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary coinciding with the function.
It may be noted that the Assamese version of the autobiography was released in the presence of Governor of UP Ram Naik, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brigadier B D Mishra, Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy, Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, minister of industries and commerce Chandra Mohan Patowary, minister of environment and forest Parimal Sulkabaidya, minister of state for culture Naba Kumar Doley, Dr Mahendra Singh, minister of Uttar Pradesh besides several other dignitaries.
The writer Ram Naik also expressed his feelings on the book and said that Charaiveti Charaiveti is a reflection of his long association with public life and how did he overcome different impediments of life to reach the present position that he is in.
Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brigadier B.D. Mishra, Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad, editor of Chanakyabarta Dr Amit Jain also spoke on the occasion which was organized by Chanakya Barta and Care Luit.
