In the midst of sorrow at the gruesome murder of Radha Kumari, a second year student of the College of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, there is some good news for the College.

Her class mate   Archita Goswami has been selected for an International event, the BRICS Youth Summit to be held at South Africa  from July 14 to 18.

She is representing India as a NSS volunteer from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat and the state of Assam along with the Youth Delegation which departed from New Delhi at around 8pm.

She was shortlisted from among the best participants during the NSS Republic Day Parade Camp this year when she took part in the march past on Raj Path on the Republic Day on January 26. She hails from Tezpur.

The team comprises 13 youth delegates and two officials from the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Archita she is an accomplished xatriya dancer and cultural performer as well as gifted in dramatics. .

Her father Anil Chandra Goswami is Assistant General Manager of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and mother Krishnali Devi is a teacher.
