A family of four was wiped out in a road accident on Sunday morning at Bilasipara in western Assam’s Dhubri district.
Police sources said the family was coming from Goalapara in their Swift Dzire car to Golkganj. When they reached Gaurang Nagar in Bilasipara, a speeding Scorpio from the opposite side rammed into their car, leaving four of them including a children dead on the spot.
The impact of the collision was so much that the Swift Dzire was completely mangled.
The victims have been identified as Mayukh Ray, Rubul Ray, Dipsikha Singh Ray and Rafikul Islam (driver).
The family died in the accident is reportedly relatives of BJP MLA of Golakganj Assembly constituency, Ashwini Ray Sarkar.
