Assam based industrialist Rajesh Himatsingka has again faced allegations after a total of 38 containers of heroin have recently been recovered from his residence at Bhangagarh area in Guwahati.
Based on a tip-off, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel in joint cooperation with Assam Police carried out an investigation at the industrialist’s residence in the city.

The heroin containers were found to be hidden under a sofa in the house.
The 70-year-old industrialist along with his driver Shatrughan Kanti was asked to be present at the CID Assam headquarters in Guwahati on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that Himatsingka, who is the chairman cum managing director of Himatsingka Group of Companies had earlier been arrested for many crimes in the past.
The industrialist has been arrested from city outskirts on charges of cheating a woman in December last year.
He was arrested from his tea estate factory at Amsoi after the woman Draupadi Modi filed a case (No 1400c/ 2012) against him that he had cheated her to the tune of Rs 40 lakh.
