To stop chaos of traffic jam that had arisen due to the construction of an over-bridge in Ganeshguri area of Guwahati, the Assam Transport Department has made some changes of the bus routes in the city.
The new bus route will become operational from Thursday.
The buses will now travel from Panjabari-Sixmile-VIP Road- Narengi –Noonmati route to Jalukbari instead of the usual Panjabari-Sixmile-Dispur-Ganeshguri route.
However, the buses can come through the usual route while returning from Jalukbari.
Kamrup (M) district transport officer Bapon Kalita revealed this new traffic rule to the media on Wednesday.
Over 100 buses ply daily from Panjabari to Jalukbari in Guwahati.
