An Alto car without registration number plate was recovered at Hatoka Mensing Tisso village under Dillai police station in Assam’ Karbi Anglong late on Monday.

A single glove and two numbers of live ammunition were recovered from inside the car.
It is suspected that the car was used in the murder of businessman Moolsingh Rathore on Sunday night in east Karbi Anglong along Assam-Nagaland inter-state boundary.
Notably, a single glove was also recovered at the residence of late Rathore.
Meanwhile, police have begun investigation into the recovery of the vehicle and to ascertain the owner of the car.
Rathore was shot multiple times from point blank range by unidentified gunmen and he succumbed to his injuries on reaching the hospital following excessive bleeding.
It may be recalled that a gang of six to seven masked men dressed in Army fatigues and armed with AK- 47 rifle and pistol stormed into the residence of Moolsingh Rathore and attempted robbery by holding the businessman’s wife, son and daughter in-law at gunpoint.
The trader who was returning home received a distress call from his son and rushed to the spot to confront the gang of armed assailants who had robbed of valuables including jewellery and cash from his residence.
