BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday handed over a cheque of Rs five lakhs to scientist Shivasis Kar of Gossaigaon who recently came to focus after discovering 3D live chat in the open space with mobile phones.
In a brief meeting with the media persons at the conference hall in BTC Secretariat, Mohilary said he assured Kar to assist financial help to carry out his ambitious project during the launching of Cancer Centre at Besorgaon in Kokrajhar on June 18.
Accordingly, the BTC authority has given him an amount of Rs five lakh to Shivasis Kar as per commitment.
Mohilary also said that an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh was given from BTC while another Rs 2.5 lakh was from BPF.
He hoped that Kar will be able to achieve in his project and people of BTC region would be benefitted.
He further said his council had no objection in setting up projects by different entrepreneurs which are beneficial to the people of the region and the council will provide plot of land if required.
Meanwhile, scientist Shivasis Kar said he had been working in a foreign company and will start business in BTC.
He said their company was likely to set up a centre in Kokrajhar. He also said the education sector will get maximum benefit if their company starts business in the region.
