Guwahati: The ‘CBSE Cluster I Basketball Championship (Boys) 2024,’ hosted by the Army Public School (APS) Narangi in Assam’s Guwahati, culminated in a thrilling finale on Sunday (September 8, 2024).

The highly anticipated event brought together young talented basketball players of various schools from across the Northeast, resulting in a display of fierce competition and extraordinary skills.

The final day witnessed electrifying matches that captivated the audience. 

The players’ enthusiasm and dedication, along with the tactical acumen of the coaches, ensured that the tournament was a grand success.

The closing ceremony, held with great reverence, was graced by the Principal of APS Narangi Bandana Baruah.

In her address, she applauded the participants for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit.

Awards were presented to the winners and runners-up teams across all categories.

A special segment of the ceremony was dedicated to recognising the invaluable contributions of the coaches and officials, with mementos being presented as a token of appreciation.

In the boys’ under-19 final match, APS Narangi emerged victorious over Royal Global School, showcasing their dominance on the court. 

The boys’ under-17 final saw APS Narangi continue their winning streak, defeating Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar.

In the boys’ under-14 final, Sainik School Goalpara claimed the championship title defeating Royal Global School, Guwahati.

The three-day championship proved to be an unforgettable experience, with thrilling matches, intense competition, and unwavering enthusiasm from players, coaches and officials alike.

The championship will be remembered as a resounding success.
