Kempi Pakam, State Training Commissioner (Guides) of State Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG), would be representing India in the ‘APR Workshop on Youth Involvement’ scheduled to be held at Melbourne, Australia from July 7 to July 10 next.
A Silver Star Awardee of 2016, Pakam from Arunachal Pradesh is also the national vice president of BSG and has been playing a significant role in promoting the organization, both at the State and national level, a press release informed on Wednesday.
Her selection for the APR workshop hosted by Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region and Scouts Australia was made by the APR headquarters located at Manila, Philippines.
Earlier, Pakam had represented India in World Jamboree in Japan and attended the 36th WAGGGS World Conference in Delhi, the release added.
