Union minister of state (independent charge) youth affairs and sports Kiren Rijiju on Monday assured that he would give his every possible effort to make Arunachal Pradesh a front-runner in the field of sports.
Rijiju’s assurance came during a meeting with state’s sports and youth affairs minister Mama Natung who called on the former at his office here and discussed with him the prospects of youth affairs and sports in the state of Arunachal Pradesh including avenues under the Prime Minister Khelo India flagship programme.

Acknowledging that Arunachal is the only state in India which does not have well structured sports stadiums, Rijiju assured that he would try his best to bring Arunachal into the radar of sports ministry so that the is as much infrastructure development in the state as possible.
He further disclosed that he would be soon visiting the state to assess all the ongoing projects under his ministry.
