Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday launched the Arunachal Rising Campaign at the State Banquet hall here.

The ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign launched through the Department of Information & Public Relations with the objective to reach out to the people and make them aware of the government initiatives, policies and programmes.

The programmes are aimed to empower every citizen of the state and make them partners in ‘Team Arunachal’ for over all development, peace and progress and take the state to greater heights.
IPR Minister Bamang Felix said, “Team Arunachal endeavors to deliver goods to people through good governance and various welfare initiatives of the government including various flagship programmes.”

Stating that the government is making very sincere efforts for transformation of the state Felix sought cooperation and participation from all sections of the society towards realizing the dream.

He said that the campaign, which is a part of the budget announcement, is the need of the hour as it would facilitate development process to reach the remotest part of the state and provide much needed impetus to the development activities.

Lauding the department of information and public relations (IPR) for the innovative campaign the Minister termed the department as the most important one as it works as the mouth piece of the government.

He further hoped that through the IEC campaign ‘Arunachal Rising’, the channel of communication between government and public would be established for the benefit of the people.

IPR Special Secretary, Himanshu Gupta, while briefing on the Arunachal Rising campaign informed that it aims to enhance the dissemination of information through various media tools – print, social media, audio-visual mode and other innovative techniques to highlight positive works of the government, feedback services covering all sections of people.

The campaign would cover six  strategically designed programmes including – Jan Kalyan Abhiyan, Mukhya Mantri Vidyathi Uday, Arise Arunachal, Humara Zilla Humara Arunachal, Arunachal Development Talk, Must See Arunachal and Journey with CM, Gupta sought participation and support from all, especially the Deputy Commissioners to achieve the target.

On the occasion, a 15 minute video clip on ‘Arunachal Rising’ covering sectors – Good Health & Wellbeing, Economic Growth, Quality Education, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable cities and communities, Affordable and clean energy, Job creation, Sanitation and Swachh Arunachal, Welfare initiatives and projects, policy and governance reforms was screened and a souvenir entitled “725 days of Arunachal Rising” was also released by the dignitaries to mark the ceremony.
A web portal and mobile app www.arunachalmonitoring.com prepared by the department of Finance, Planning and Investment was also launched for satellite based Monitoring and Geo-Tagging of Developmental Projects in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
