Arunachal: Remote Bordumsa dips in colourful I-day celebrations

Bordumsa in remote Changlang district of eastern Arunachal Pradesh also dipped in colourful celebration of nation’s 73rd Independence Day with great pomp and show.

“The nation has been marching proudly ahead with epoch making achievments and developments under the path -breaking leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said Somlung Mossang.

Mossang, the MLA of 49 Bordumsa-Diyun attended the function as the chief guest and addressed the people of the constituency.

Mossang also took the guard of honour after unfurling the tricolour centrally at the general playground and greeted the masses.

During his speech, he recalled the supreme sacrifices of the freedom fighters during the struggle for India’s freedom movement.

Paying homage to the various state martyrs, Mossang also reiterated and acknowledged the contributions of various local tribal leaders and social workers.

Briefing the progressive march of the state of Arunachal Pradesh lately, Mossang lauding the dynamic leadership abilities of chief minister Pema Khandu also highlighted on various public utility schemes of the government in the field of socio -ecomomic, health,education ,agri -horti and infrastructural.

“The State has been making tremendous progress in the field of games and sports and with the leadership of Khandu, the State for the first time would be the venue of the next national games,” said the MLA.

Acknowledging the leadership of the former of MLA Nikh Kamin and former BJP turned Congress cabinet minister C C Singpho of Bordumsa, Mossang also expressed his gratefulness towards the government departmental officials, security agencies including the Arunachal Police, gaonburhas, panchayat leaders and public leaders for their role and contribution in the governeance.

Announcing his one time cash scholarship to the top ten meritious students of Xth and XII th standards of the constituency, Mossang called for all cornered support for overall development and progress of the constituency.

“I have well defined visions to bring Bordumsa in the visible map of the fast progressing state and the nation,”said Mossang.

Several cultural troops and parade groups including the student’s march past enthralled the audience despite unfavourable ground condition.

The participating teams were also awarded Rs 10, 000 each suggesting for more improvements in the days to come.
