Arunachal Pradesh deputy chief minister Chowna Mein on Thursday congratulated Pinom Ering for being selected for the post of an assistant professor of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay recently.
The young professor hails from the East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The deputy chief minister tweeted that Ering is an inspiring example for many who wishes to pursue a successful career in the field of education and research.

Ering acquired her B.Tech degree in civil engineering from the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in Arunachal Pradesh.
She then her post graduation and PhD in geotechnical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore.
Mein said that Pinom is one of the few individuals from the state to get posted in such a prestigious educational institute in the country.
