Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has reached Mumbai to address Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari function at L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management & Research, Matunga in Mumbai.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiu, who represents the Arunachal West Lok Sabha constituency, stated on his Twitter handle on Saturday that during the function at at L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management & Research, Matunga, he would speak on India’s quest to become superpower and how the Northeast can be integral to that vision.

Informing about his journey to Mumbai, Union Minister Rijiju tweeted: “Reached Mumbai to address Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari function at L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management & Research, Matunga, Mumbai. I will speak mainly on India’s quest to become Superpower and how North-East can be integral to that vision.”

Union Minister Rijiju at India Today Conclave East 2017 stated that India can’t be a superpower without Northeast’s support.

Rijiju also said India has “good relations” with China and there is “enough space” for both countries to work together.

The Union Minister said that India believed in keeping friendly relations with its neighbours and was approaching with “the correct policy” in the Northeast.

He said: “We have good relations with China. There is enough space for India and China to work together and we believe in friendly relations with our neighbours and are approaching a correct policy now what should have done before.”
