Union minister of state for sports and youth affairs Kiren Rijiju on Sunday inspected the medical and relief equipment meant to be sent to his home state Arunachal Pradesh for management of Covid-19 infections.

While the Centre has provided these medical and relief equipment, UNICEF has assisted in installing oxygen plans in the state by providing necessary equipment.

These oxygen plants will be installed in Bordumsa, Ruksin, Namsai, Chongkham and Daporijo in Arunachal Pradesh.

A total of 327 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours in Arunachal Pradesh.

With this the total number of positive cases has increased to 29,113.

The virus also claimed the life of one man in Lohit district, taking the total death toll to 123 in the state.

There are 3,757 active cases in the state at present.
