Body of former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul’s son Subhanso Pul has been sent for post-mortem on Wednesday.
Shubanso was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his apartment in UK’s Brighton on Sunday.
The case is with a coroner who will investigate into Subhanso’s death circumstances and prepare a report for the same.
“At 3.41 pm on Sunday [February 9], the police were called to an address in Falmer where a 20-year-old man was found dead in a bedroom. There were no suspicious circumstances. The coroner for Brighton and Hove has been informed,” East Sussex police said in a statement.
Coroner, a government official, conducts an inquest on the “circumstance” and “manner” of a person’s death.
This process could take days, weeks or in some cases months depending on the case.
Sources said that all efforts are being made by the Indian Government to “expedite” the matter, India Today reported.
They also informed that the Indian High Commission in London is “in touch” with the family in India and “doing all they can to support them in this tough time”.
The incident comes four years after Kalikho Pul had committed suicide in 2016 and left a 60-page controversial suicide note accusing some of the top names in the judiciary and state politics of corruption.
He was found hanging in his room at Itanagar on August 9, 2016, less than a month after the Supreme Court ruled against his appointment as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh with the support of some Congress MLAs and the Opposition BJP.
20-year-old Shubanso was Pul’s son by his first wife Dangwimsai Pul.
