Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday said his government is according top priority to road communication.
Khandu said if good connectivity is achieved all other development will fall in line.

Khandu said this while addressing the district development committee (DDC) meeting at Tawang.
He also said to improve road connectivity in the state, the state budget has launched Chief Minister Comprehensive State Road Plan with fund allocation of Rs 100 crore.

This fund will be used for improving the motorable roads in all administrative headquarters, the chief minister.
Khandu added that besides road communication, health and education sector, the State government is also giving top priority to development of agriculture and allied sector.
He urged the DDC committees of all the districts to prepare a short as well as long-term 5-year perspective development plan for their respective districts.
“Whenever the financial position of the State is good, priority on the proposals from the districts will be set,” he said.
Further to strengthen the planning process in Arunachal, the chief minister emphasized on teamwork between elected representatives and government officers.
He said elected representatives require proper support and guidance from the government officers to work on best proposals.
Emphasizing on the need to abandon the old paths and to adopt a good working culture, Khandu cautioned that “corruption will not be tolerated”.
He urged the heads of departments to have proper plan and vision for their respective departments and directed them to focus on revenue generation.
The revenue generation for this financial year as set by the state government is Rs 2500 crore, Khandu informed further.
Development can take place only when the financial condition of the state is good, he added.
Earlier during the meeting all the government departments of the district presented their achievements, proposals and put forward their issues in front of DCC.
Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi, Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok, SP Sagar Singh Khalsi, heads of departments and officers from various departments were present.
