Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday said that he dedicates the occasion of International Women’s Day to Ipupu Mena- the second woman army officer from the state.
Mena passed out of Chennai’s Officers Training Academy (OTA) recently.

Mena, who is a civil engineering graduate, has become the second woman army officer from Arunachal Pradesh.
The girl from the Idu Mishmi community, who passed out of OTA yesterday after months of training, topped the Short Service Commission Women (SSCW) exam last year.
On Sunday, Khandu tweeted, “I dedicate the day to Lt Ipupu Mena who passed out yesterday from #OTAChennai as Officer in Indian Army. She secured AIR Rank No.1 in SSC Tech Entry to join armed forces without any formal coaching or being from a defence background. @adgpi #SheInspiresUs #InternationalWomensDay .”

Modi on Sunday gave away his social media handles to seven women achievers to inspire others with their life journeys.
The ladies who had shared their life journeys from the Prime Minister’s social media accounts till now include the founder of Food Bank India Sneha Mohandoss, disability rights activist Malvika Iyer, women artisans Arifa Jaan and Vijaya Pawar, water conservationist Kalpana Ramesh.
The other two ladies who shared their life journeys from PM Modi’s social media accounts include Kalavati Devi who is a mason and Bina Devi, a farmer.
