Arunachal Pradesh became a full-fledged state on February 20, 1987.
Until 1972 Mizoram was a part of Assam and was carved out as a Union Territory in 1972.
It became the 23rd Indian state on February 20, 1987.
Union home minister Amit Shah visited Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of its 34th Statehood Day celebrations.
In his address to the gathering, Shah said that northeast will become free of all problems by 2024.
