Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Tumken Sora, winner of the ‘Mr Arunachal’ contest, who will be participating at the ‘Rubaru Mr. India’ this year.
The 25-year-old Sora hails from the Lepa Rada district of Arunachal Pradesh and holds a degree in science and technology from the Jawaharlal Nehru College in Hyderabad.
The aspiring model had won the ‘Mr Arunachal’ contest in 2019 and got a direct entry into the finale of ‘Rubaru Mr. India’ that was to take place last year, but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sora also won the best actor award at the annual Arunachal Film Festival lasy year.
The film festival is organized every year by the Film Federation of Arunachal (FFA) in association with the state directorate of information and public relations.
“It was nice meeting Mr Tumken Sora Ji, winner of the prestigious Mr Arunachal contest this afternoon. My best wishes to Sora Ji for India’s biggest annual pageant for men – Rubaru Mr India scheduled to take place this year (2021). I am sure you will bring laurel to our State,” Pema Khandu tweeted.
