Union sports minister Kiren Rijiju lauded Arunachal Pradesh wrestlers for winning twelve medals at the International Combat Games (ICG) in New Delhi.
The state wrestlers won 11 gold medals and one silver medal in the games.

“The Arm wrestlers Team from Arunachal Pradesh did very well at the International Combat Games (ICG) here, winning 12 medals, out which 11 are gold!,” Rijiju tweeted on Monday.

In the senior men’s category, Damdo Yomcha, Mapu Yigam, Robin Natung, Kirba Lollen, Tasen Ruti, Moli Ngomdir and Nyummar Bagra bagged a gold medal each.
Kanu Yomcha, Ibi Lollen and Jumbom Lollen bagged gold medals in senior women’s category.
While Nyosar Likar won a gold medal in the junior men’s category, wrestler Katu Yomcha was the only silver medal winner of the state in the senior women’s category.
ICG was held at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium from Friday to Sunday.
