Arunachal Pradesh’s Golom Tinku won gold in the U-17 boys’ weightlifting in the 55 kg category in the Khelo India Youth Games on Friday.
Assam’s Prabal Pratim Gogoi won the silver in the category, while Maharashtra’s Sanket Mahadev won the gold in the 55 kg event in the U-21 category.

Tinku lifted a total weight of 209 kg and won the first gold for his state.
He lifted 93 kg in the snatch event and 116 kg in the clean and jerk event to total 209kg and be in the lead.
Meanwhile, Assam’s Prabal Gogoi lifted a total of 207 kg to win the silver medal.
