Eighty-eight girl students of a residential school of Arunachal Pradesh were allegedly forced to undress as a punishment for writing a “vulgar note” against the head teacher.

The incident, which took place at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Tani Happa (New Sagalee) in Papum Pare district, around 80 km from Itanagar, came to light after an FIR was filed by All Sagalee Student’s Union (ASSU) at Sagalee police station on Monday.

Arunachal Pradesh DGP Sandip Goel  said,  “A complaint has been received by the police station. The women’s police station is looking into the case. We are speaking to the students and their parents. Then, we will speak to the teachers.”
