Dr Marak Pertin has created history by becoming the first Indian Navy officer from Arunachal Pradesh to be promoted to the rank of Captain in the force.
Dr Pertin, who is also the first doctor in Indian Navy from Arunachal Pradesh, is the son of Gargit Pertin and Betdol Pertin from Parbuk village (Bolik) in Lower Dibang Valley district.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Dr Pertin on being proted to the rank of Captain in the Indian Navy.
“Hearty congratulations to Dr Marak Pertin on being promoted to the rank of Captain in the Indian Navy and on becoming first Arunachali to have achieved such rare feat,” chief minister Khandu said in a tweet.
Chief minister Khandu, while stating that the people of Arunachal Pradesh are proud of Dr Pertin, also congratulated the parents of the Indian Navy officer, Gargit Pertin and Betdol Pertin.
“We all are proud of you. Congratulations also to your revered parents Shri Gargit Pertin & Smt Betdol Pertin,” Khandu added.
