Two Naga militants killed on Thursday evening in a factional clash between National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Unification) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak- Muivah) at Deomali in Arunachal Pradesh.

Sources said both the faction of NSCN clashed with each other and started indiscriminate firing by automatic weapon resulting in the death of two militants.

It is not immediately clear to which faction the slain militants belong, sources said. Sources further added that the clash broke out when NSCN (U) militants had gone to the area to collect ransom.

The incident has triggered tension  in the Demolia area which is known as the stronghold of NSCN (IM). Security forces intensified operations in the area following the incident.
