Assam Rifles troops along with Arunachal Pradesh Police personnel have nabbed a cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah).
The NSCN (IM) cadre has been nabbed during a joint operation carried out at Hollam village in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The news has been confirmed by Assam Rifles on its Tweeter handle.
The operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence inputs.
The Assam Rifles tweeted: “Intelligence based joint operation by #AssamRifles and Arunachal Pradesh Police led to apprehension of NSCN (IM) cadre from Hollam village in Tirap District on 05 Mar 2021.”
NSCN (IM) is currently in ceasefire with the central government as the Naga peace talks between the militant groups and many other organisations, and the Centre are going on.
But the Army, para-military forces and police personnel from time to time nab NSCN (IM) cadres for alleged involvement in “anti-national” activities.
