Two more persons died due to COVID-19 in the state on Friday taking the death toll to 7.
According to health officials, the two fresh COVID-19 fatalities are a 65-year-old woman from Naharlagun who was suffering from chronic kidney disease and an army jawan belonging to the Unit-18 of 190 Kumaon Mountain Brigade.

Officials said the woman suffering from chronic kidney disease for the past two years was admitted at the Dedicated Covid-19 Hospital at Chimpu on August 25 after she tested positive for Covid-19.
She breathed her last at 10.30 am on Friday.
On the other hand, the 44-year-old army havildar lost his battle with Covid-19 on Thursday. He was posted in Tawang district.

The jawan had tested Covid-19 positive on August 16 and had a fever with chills, dry cough and headache since Aug 12, health officials said.
He was being treated at 305 MH-Khirmu in Tawang since August 15 and
was referred to MH-181 Tenga, West Kameng after his condition deteriorated, the officials added.
Arunachal on Friday also registered 112 new Covid-19 cases which took the state’s active tally to 1029.
Five out of the 112 are symptomatic patients.
