The Arunachal Pradesh government is prioritizing the renovation of the existing police stations as well as building new ones to make way for the clearance of tourist circuits in different districts in the state.
Arunachal chief minister Pema Khandu on Thursday inaugurated the Miao Police Station in Changlang district.
He also recently inaugurated five more new police stations at Changlang, Namtok, Jairampur, Nampong and Manmao.
Moreover, 21 police stations have been established and renovated in the Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts.

“New police stations have been established in Tirap, Changlang and Longding in an effort directed towards speedy clearance of tourism circuits in the region,” said Pema Khandu on the occasion.
“Once the tourism sector grows in these districts, it will open several avenues of employment for local youths,” he said.
“Inaugurated 5 new police station buildings at Changlang, Namtok, Jairampur, Nampong & Manmao. About 21 police stations have been newly established and renovated in Tirap, Changlang & Longding districts. This would secure law and order, and assure speedy development of the region,” Khandu tweeted.
