The Centre has provided Arunachal Pradesh with essential medical equipment for the better management and treatment of the increasing number of people testing positive for Covid-19 in the state.
Union minister of state for youth affairs and sports Kiren Rijiju on Thursday handed over these items to officials concerned in Itanagar.
The equipment include 1,40,000 RT-PCR testing kits, 5,150 oximeters, 10 oxygen cylinders, 10 oxygen concentrators and 50 oxygen masks and tubes.
The Centre has also provided 250 vials of Parihep and Encoxel injections along with clinically tested polyherbal drug, AYUSH-64 and Ayurveda immunity boosting medicines.

Although the Arunachal government has taken a slew of measures to curb Covid-19 infections, positive cases are still on the rise in the state.
A total of 247 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours.
With this the total positive cases in the state reached 30,494, of which 3,518 are active cases.
The disease has claimed two more lives, taking the death toll to 130.
