Arunachal Pradesh: Police yet to make breakthrough in abduction case of 2 oil company employees

It has been 17 days that suspected rebels abducted 2 employees of Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited, but the Arunachal Pradesh Police is yet to make a breakthrough in the case.

The State police, which is leading the investigation seems to be clueless on the whereabouts of the abducted oil company employees.

Although police and other security agencies have launched a massive search operation, they are yet to trace the location of the abducted employees.

“We are yet to get a lead in the case,” informed Changlang SP Mihin Gambo.

2 employees of the Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited – Drilling superintendent PK Gogoi (51), a resident of Sivasagar town in Assam and Radio Operator Ram Kumar (35), hailing from Bihar were kidnapped and made hostage by suspected rebels on December 21.

Both the abducted employees were engaged at the drilling site of Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited at Innao’s in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district.

Meanwhile, employees engaged in the drilling site at Innao in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district of Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited left the site following rise in fear and apprehensions after two of their colleagues by suspected rebels.

“Gripped by fear and uncertainty following the abduction of two of their colleagues from the Innao based drilling site of the company on December 21, other employees also left the site either for their respective homes or the Duliajan based office of the company, “ informed Deputy Commissioner of Changlang district Dr Devansh Yadav to Northeast Now.
