Arunachal Pradesh: Police submits charge sheet, more arrests on cards in Techi Meena murder case

The police in Arunachal Pradesh has submitted a 56-page charge sheet in the sensational Techi Meena murder case.

The charge sheet in the Techi Meena murder case was submitted by the police to the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Yupia.

The charge sheet filed by the police in Arunachal Pradesh names all the seven accused in the case.

The seven accused in the case are: Dathang Suyang, Kapwang Letey Lowang, Taney Khoiyang, Damriet Khoiyang, Chumi Taya, Vijay Biswas and Roni Lishi, the husband of Techi Meena.

Naharlagun Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rike Kamsi has informed that all the seven accused have been charge sheeted under sections 302, 120 (B), 201 and 316 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

“We will also submit supplementary charge sheets in due course of time,”Naharlagun SDPO Rike Kamsi further informed.

The police further reportedly hinted that more arrests are likely to be made soon in the case as new angles are being investigated.

The 56-page charge sheet also encloses another 118 pages of supporting documents and statements besides some 60 photographs.

All the seven accused are under judicial custody and are being lodged at the Jully district jail.

Techi Meena, who was 7 months pregnant then, was allegedly killed by hired miscreants at the behest of her husband on November 5 last year.
