Arunachal Pradesh: Lockdown in Itanagar Capital Complex extended with partial relaxations

The district administration of the Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) in Arunachal Pradesh has extended the COVID lockdown in the district till June 21.

However, the ICC district administration has announced a slew of relaxations for the extended period of COVID lockdown.

“I, Shri Talo Potom, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Itanagar Capital Complex… do hereby allow partial relaxation to the COVID CURFEW (LOCKDOWN) w.e.f. 5AM of 7th June, 2021 to 21st June, 2021, within the geographical territory of the Itanagar Capital Complex,” read an order from the ICC district administration.

“Shops along the NH415 shall be allowed to open on alternate days (left side/right side) from 5AM to 2PM,” the order added.

Shops on the left side of the Highway from Holongi to Banderdewa have been allowed to open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

On the other hand, shops on the right side of the Highway from Holongi to Banderdewa have been allowed to open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, the order clearly states that “all shops and other establishments shall remain closed on Sundays”.

“Restaurants/hotels shall be permitted to open for home delivery only till 2PM. No dine-in is allowed,” read the order.

Meanwhile, public transport services have also been allowed to operate between 5AM and 2PM, with only 50 percent occupancy.

“There shall be total ban on movement of individuals from 3PM to 5AM daily, except for exemptions granted to emergency Services & Departments,” the order further read.
