Arunachal Pradesh launches ‘pink patrolling’ to enhance women’s safety

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has rolled out the “Pink Patrolling” initiative, deploying specialized Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles dedicated to rapid responses to incidents concerning women’s safety.

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu recently reiterated his government’s commitment to bolstering women’s safety and advancing gender equality across Arunachal Pradesh.

Khandu stated the significance of enhancing the ‘Pink Patrolling’ initiative with PCR vehicles as part of ongoing measures to deliver optimal governance to local communities.

“We are dedicated to amplifying efforts through ‘Pink Patrolling’ with PCR vehicles, underscoring our commitment to enhancing women’s safety and promoting gender equality,” stated Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu.

The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has voiced its support for the state government’s new initiative.

“We have high expectations that this initiative will yield tangible improvements in women’s safety and well-being,” stated a member of the APWWS.
