Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has inaugurated a 110- metre long steel superstructure bridge between Tidding and Hayuliang town on the Tilua river in the state’s Anjaw district along China border.

The bridge was constructed by Border Roads Organization (BRO) under Project Udayak at a cost of Rs 7 crore.

The bridge will help in transporting heavy armed machineries towards the international border with China,  The Telegraph reported.

The commander of 48 Border Road Task Force, Col Rajeev Dhingra said that the bridge is the longest steel superstructure bridge launched departmentally by the BRO replacing the 360 feet Bailey Bridge.

Addressing the Arunachal Rising campaign at Tezu, headquarters of Lohit district, Dhingra said that the foundation stone for the Hollongi Greenfield Airport project would soon be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is expected to visit the state in January.
