Arunachal Pradesh chief minister on Wednesday Pema Khandu said all district hospitals are being upgraded with the latest facilities to offer affordable and quality treatment to the people of the state.
Khandu on Wednesday inaugurated a newly built operation theatre and a three-bedded intensive care unit at the district hospital in Seppa in East Kameng district.
Union minister of state for youth affairs and sports Kiren Rijiju was also present on the occasion.
In absence of an improved healthcare system, a sizable number of sick people of the state had to come to neighbouring states like Assam and other states of India to avail themselves of quality treatment.

However, this often proved to be very expensive for the ailing.
“The Seppa district hospital today gets a new operation theatre and a 3-bedded intensive care unit (ICU). Dedicated these facilities to the people in presence of Hon’ble Union MoS Sri @KirenRijiju Ji. All district hospitals in the state are being upgraded with the latest facilities,” Pema Khandu tweeted.
