Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday said that the state government has taken up a special mission to develop the infrastructure of all district hospitals.

The chief minister held a review meeting with officials to discuss the project.

The state government will spend an amount of Rs 400 crores to upgrade the district hospitals with the latest state-of-the-art medical facilities.

This, the chief minister hoped will go a long way in providing quality healthcare to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Arunachal government also recruited 400 nurses, 66 medical officers and 34 specialist doctors in the past few months to address the shortage of manpower in government healthcare institutions in the state.

“Govt of Arunachal has taken up a massive ?400 Cr mission to upgrade infrastructure in district hospitals. A review meeting today with health dept to strengthen health facilities. In the last few months, 400 nurses, 66 medical officers and 34 specialists doctors were recruited,” Pema Khandu tweeted on Wednesday.

The Arunachal government will also recruit more manpower in hospitals in the near future to ensure that affordable quality healthcare is provided to all patients.
