Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has said that upcoming hydropower projects in Tawang will provide employment opportunities to youths with skills.

He said this while inaugurating the Zentek Skill Development Centre in the presence of local MLA Tsering Tashis in Tawang on Sunday.

The chief minister urged the youths to develop their skills so that they can become self-reliant.

“The youths should acquire skills in different areas as the hydropower projects coming up in the state will provide employment to many. While the state has five industrial training institutes, construction of four more will be completed soon,” said Khandu.

The Arunachal government will also establish five more such training institutes across the state in the near future.

Dedicating the skill development centre to the people of Tawang, he said that his government would provide the youths of the state with all opportunities for skill development.

“Future belongs to those who have work skills. Dedicated the Zentek Skill Development Centre to the people of #Tawang in presence of MLA @TseringTashis Ji today. Good to know that centre will be offering training on plumbing and electrical trades and have 60 students enrolled,” Pema Khandu tweeted.

The state department of skill development in collaboration with the Zentek Skill development Centre established the skill development centre.

A total of 60 students have enrolled for training on plumbing and electrical trades in the centre.
