Arunachal Pradesh: CM Pema Khandu reviews progress of road projects carried out by NHIDCL in State

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday reviewed the progress of road projects carried out by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in the State.

Chief Minister Khandu met the managing director of the NHIDCL, KK Pathak and other Government and NHIDCL officials at his office in Itanagar.

Progress of road projects being carried out by the NHIDCL in Arunachal Pradesh was discussed during the meeting.

Notably, the NHIDCL is at present working on 700 different road projects across Arunachal Pradesh.

Assuring his cooperation for speedy completion of all projects, chief minister Khandu said road connectivity in the border areas is getting new impetus under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Roads are now reaching remote inaccessible areas of Arunachal near the international borders with more new projects coming up,” said Pema Khandu.

Meanwhile, the NHIDCL managing director informed that 6 new road projects have also been sanctioned, which will enhance infrastructure network in the remote border areas of the State.

The meeting also discussed building of wayside amenities along the highways to provide facilities to travelers for safe and convenient journey.
