Itanagar: In a significant move to boost sports development in Arunachal Pradesh, chief minister Pema Khandu announced the launch of “Mission Olympic 2028” and “Mission Olympic 2032” as part of the state government’s ambitious 100-day action plan.
These initiatives aim to identify and nurture talented athletes from Arunachal Pradesh to represent India at the Olympics.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu stated that the comprehensive roadmap for these missions will be finalized and implemented within the first hundred days of the new government.
The objective is to scout and develop athletes capable of competing on the world stage, enhancing the state’s presence in the global sporting arena.
“Our goal is to send as many athletes as possible from Arunachal Pradesh to the Olympics, showcasing our talent and representing the country,” stated Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu.
Additionally, the Arunachal Pradesh chief minister stated that a new youth policy is being formulated to further harness and develop the skills of young people in various fields.
This policy is also a crucial element of the 100-day action plan, aiming to provide a structured framework for youth development and empowerment.
