The budget session of Arunachal Pradesh which concluded on March 15, proposed some key initiatives for needy citizens.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu earmarked Rs 88 crore for various social security schemes for the state.
# Enhancement of old-age pensions above 80 years, widow pension and disability to Rs 20,000 per month, old age pension (60-79 years) to Rs 15,000.
# Rs 10 crore allocated for self-employment generation initiatives for Puroik community
# Rs 5 crore allocated for Dulari Kanya Yojana, fixed deposit of Rs 2000 for institutional delivery of girl child
# Rs 5 crore allocated for state human rights commission building
# Rs 6 crore allocated for construction of juvenile homes at changlang and yupia.
# Enhancement of monthly honorarium for head gaon buras to Rs 2000, and gaon burahs to Rs 1500
