The Longding Battalion of Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised a Medical Camp at Wanu village in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.

A total of 340 villagers including 90 males, 180 females and 70 children were provided medical cover.

Essential medicines were also distributed amongst the villagers.

During the conduct of the medical camp, villagers were sensitized about the relevance of personal hygiene, sanitation, usage of face mask and precautions to be observed during vaccination of COVID 19.

Earlier on Thursday, the Lunglei Battalion 23 Sector Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential items including anti-Covid-19 items to inmates of the Baptist Church Orphanage Home at Lunglei in Mizoram.

Meanwhile, India on Friday logged a record 2,17,353 daily COVID-19 cases as many states grappled with shortages of hospital beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccine doses.

Moreover, 1185 people in the last 24 hours have lost the battle with COVID-19.

Maharashtra, the country’s worst-hit state, reported 61,695 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 36,39,855, while 349 new fatalities pushed the death count to 59,153.
