“Given the vast geographical expanse, challenging terrains, and sparsely populated remote villages, this achievement is truly remarkable,” remarked Khandu.

Reflecting on the progress since the launch of JJM by the Prime Minister in 2019, the Arunachal Pradesh CM highlighted that initially, only 20,989 households in the state had Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs).

However, with the successful execution of the mission, the number has surged to 2.9 lakh households equipped with FHTCs.

Khandu emphasized that the simultaneous implementation of the Arunachal Jal Sakti Yojana (AJSY) alongside JJM has facilitated the provision of potable tap water connections to every household, ensuring universal access to clean drinking water.
