Arunachal Pradesh MP Ninong Ering introduced three private member bills in Lok Sabha on Friday.
The bills are – the Prevention of Custodial Torture Bill 2018, the Social Media Accountability Bill 2018 and the Railways (Amendment) Bill 2018 or the Railways Safety Bill 2018.

The Prevention of Custodial Torture Bill recommends punishment for public servants or any person if they torture or badly treats a victim in custody.
This bill also advocates protection of interests of victims, complainants and witnesses from all kinds of ill-treatment and providing the victims with suitable compensation.
The Social Media Accountability Bill aims to hold media service providers responsible for the contents uploaded on their respective portals, reports The Arunachal Times.

It also aims for formation of a network enforcement authority for settlement of disputes and punishing offenders as per the provisions of the act.
The Railways (Amendment) Bill 2018 or the Railways Safety Bill aims for formation of an independent railway safety board to ensure proper safety mechanisms in the Indian Railways.
