Arunachal chief minister Pema Khandu said his government is doing all out efforts for strengthening police forces and make them enable to contain law order situation of the state.
Inaugurating 5th India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) headquarters at Pasighat in East Siang district on Monday, Khandu said the government has given adequate fund for police modernization.

He has appealed the people to help police department to control law and order situation.
“We are taking a special effort through ‘Hamara Arunachal Abhiyan’ campaign to make the citizens aware on their duties and responsibilities for making better Arunachal. The people should pro-active role to contain law and order probelm”, said Khandu.
Stressing on the time-bound appointment and posting of officers in Arunachal Police (AAP and APPBn) and IRBn, Khandu urged the man-in-uniform to work with discipline and moral responsibilities by keeping police spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, Arunachal home minister Bamang Felix urged the policemen to consider the police stations as Public Service Centre and convince the people that PS are safe places for them.

Felix informed that his government has enhanced fund from Rs 30 crore to Rs 80 crore in police department to boost infrastructure of the police stations and provide vehicles and other equipments.
“Our government has filled up 325 post vacancies in the department under Compassionate Ground and cleared promotion of officials, which was kept pending since 2011”, Felix said.
